Hi, I’m Valentina, an Italian solo traveler and backpacker who loves exploring the world.
I’m from Italy and in 2020, just before the pandemic, I took a a leap and moved to Australia. I didn’t have a job, I didn’t know a single person there, and I had no idea what was waiting for me. At first, I did every kind of job you can imagine, from the most random to the most exhausting, until I slowly built a life that felt like mine. What was supposed to be temporary turned into five years that shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
After that chapter, I felt a new pull: to slow down, to reconnect, and to finally give myself the gift of time. I packed my backpack and started a solo trip through Southeast Asia. Traveling alone taught me a lot, about the world, about people, and about myself.
This blog is where I share my journey. Here you’ll find travel tips, stories, and itineraries that I hope will inspire you to start your own.
I’ve experienced both kinds of travel; staying longer when a place felt like home, and following a detailed itinerary when time was limited.
Friends and family often come to me for advice before their trips, and I realized how much I enjoy helping others discover the world with more confidence. That’s why I created this space; not just to share practical tips, but also to inspire anyone who feels the same mix of fear and excitement I once did.
If you dream of traveling but feel afraid, I hope my words and photos give you the push you need. Most limits live only in our minds.
If you’d like to see more of what I do, I share photos and videos of the places I fall in love with on Instagram @itstravale.
I hope you’ll find in my stories not only destinations to add to your list, but also the courage to take your own leap
